It is not to be used without proper prescription or medical supervision, especially if the person has a medical history of emotional imbalance, high blood pressure, or Parkinson's disease. The drug suppresses cough through its active ingredients, Dextromethorphan and Guaifenesin. The product should be used after measuring the proper dose with the included measuring cup and not used for more than one week without medical supervision. If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, it could be a sign of a more serious condition. The product is distributed by CVS Pharmacy, Inc. and manufactured by Wyeth Consumer Healthcare.*
