This is a description of a medication called Sodium Nitrite. It is used for the treatment of Acute Cyanide Poisoning. This medication has to be injected intravenously and comes in vials of single-use only. The dosage of the medication to be administered to adults is 10 mL at a rate of 2.5-5mU/minute. In children, the dosage is dependent on their body weight. The medication should be stored at a controlled room temperature between 20°C and 25°C. The vial should be discarded after use.
