Safetec Oral Pain Relief is a 0.759 (1/38 oz) oral anesthetic that provides temporary relief for minor pain and soreness in the mouth due to toothache, dental procedures, dentures, or orthodontic appliances. The active ingredient in this product is Benzocaine at a concentration of 20% (w/w). However, it is only meant for oral use, and those under the age of 2 should not use it. Individuals with a history of allergy to local anesthetics are cautioned against using this product to avoid possible anaphylactic shock. The medication can be applied up to four times daily, not exceeding once every two hours, or as directed by a dentist or doctor. Children under 12 years should use it under adult supervision.
