This is a description of Ciprofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution 0.3%, a sterile prescription medicine used for topical ophthalmic use only. It comes in a 10mL bottle and is manufactured by Alcon Laboratories, Inc. for Sandoz Inc. The active ingredient is 3.5 mg Ciprofloxacin HCI equivalent to 3 mg base per ml, and the preservative is benzalkonium chloride 0.006%. Inactive components include sodium acetate, acetic acid, mannitol, edetate disodium, hydrochloric acid, and/or sodium hydroxide. It should be stored at 2° to 25°C (36° to 77°F) and protected from light. A caution is given not to touch the dropper to any surface, as the solution may become contaminated.
