This is a description of Povidone Iodine, USP swabsticks. They are an antiseptic germicide that are non-sterile, topical and for external use only. These swabsticks are used as a healthcare antiseptic to prepare skin prior to surgery, and as a first aid antiseptic to prevent skin infections for minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. They are not to be used on individuals who are allergic or sensitive to iodine. There are warnings to discontinue use if irritation and redness develop and to seek medical attention for deep or puncture wounds, animal bites and serious burns. These swabsticks are manufactured by Lights Medical Manufacture Co. LTD, in China.*
