Chest Relief is an expectorant containing Guaifenesin, a USP approved ingredient, in soft chew form. Each soft chew consists of 100mg of Guaifenesin, effective in eradicating bothersome mucus in bronchial passageways and improving cough productivity. Chest Relief has a great tasting artificial strawberry flavor and comes in a package with a tamper-evident inner seal. It is advised not to use if the inner seal is broken. The drug should not be taken more than six times in 24 hours, and the dosage recommendations differ for adults and children under 12. It is crucial to consult a physician before use if on a sodium-restricted diet or have a chronic cough or underlying medical conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, or emphysema. Individuals should immediately stop use if the cough persists for more than 7 days, accompanies a fever, or presents with other worrying symptoms. Pregnant or nursing women need to seek professional medical advice before use. Chest Relief should be kept out of reach of children to prevent overdosage, and medical attention should be sought in case of overdose. Chest Relief is available in blister packs with a shelf life at room temperature between 20-25°C (68-77°F).
