This is a description of two different antiseptic products for minor skin cuts, scrapes, and burns. The first product contains 48% ethyl alcohol and is only for external use. It is not recommended for use in eyes or over large areas of the body. The second product is decolorized iodine tincture with 45% alcohol, and it helps prevent infections. The product is flammable and must be kept away from fire or flames. The affected area should be cleaned before applying a small amount of the product 1-3 times daily, and can be covered with a sterile bandage. The product should be used for no more than one week unless directed by a doctor. If the skin problem persists or gets worse, consult a doctor. The products should be kept out of reach of children, and if swallowed, medical attention should be sought right away. Some inactive ingredients include ammonium hydroxide, iodine, potassium iodine, and purified water.*
