Desonide Lotion is a medicine for topical use only that contains 0.05% w/w (0.5 mg/g) of the active ingredient Desonide USP. The lotion must be shaken well before using and applied 2 or 3 times daily to the affected areas. In addition to the active ingredient, the lotion contains several inactive ingredients, including cetyl alcohol, edetate disodium, and glyceryl stearate SE, among others. It may also contain citric acid and/or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment. Desonide Lotion should be stored at room temperature, between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Desonide Lotion is manufactured by Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in India and is not intended for ophthalmic use.
