Each capsule contains 100 mg phenytoin sodium, USP. The capsule is prescribed for adults and should be taken 3-4 times daily, or as directed. The pharmacist must not dispense discoloured capsules and should dispense in a tight, light-resistant container. The medication should be stored at 20° to 25°C (66°F to 77°F), with excursions permitted to 15° to 30°C (59°F to 86°F); it must be protected from light and moisture.
