Vancomycin Hydrochloride for Oral Solution, USP is an oral medication used for the treatment of bacterial infections. It comes in a mixed berry-flavored solution containing Vancomycin hydrochloride equivalent to approximately 250 mg of the medicine. It requires preparation by adding 80 mL of water and shaking it vigorously. The prepared solution should be refrigerated at 2° to 8°C and used within two weeks. It is dye-free and does not contain ingredients made from gluten-containing grains. This medication is available in a 150 mL bottle and is only recommended for oral use under prescription.*
