Its active ingredient is Ethyl Alcohol 70% v/v which kills germs on the skin that could cause disease, making it recommended for repeated use. The product comes with warnings that it is flammable, keep away from fire or flame; keep out of eyes and beneath broken skin, inhaling it or ingesting it, and if irritation and redness develop or condition persist for more than 72 hours, stop using the product and ask a doctor. Not recommended for infants, it comes with directions such as wetting hands thoroughly with the product and allowing to dry without wiping, for children under 6, use only under adult supervision.
