COUGH RELIEF PLUS is a lozenge containing dextromethorphan HBr and menthol for the temporary relief of minor throat irritation and cough due to the common cold. Adults and children above 12 years of age are recommended to take two lozenges every 4 hours, not exceeding 12 in 24 hours, whereas children under 12 years of age can only take one lozenge slowly dissolved in the mouth every 4 hours, not exceeding 6 in 24 hours. If the cough lasts more than a week or there is an occurrence of any adverse reactions, healthcare professionals must be consulted. The product is not recommended for patients who are taking a monoamine oxidase inhibitor or have a persistent cough due to smoking, asthma, or emphysema.*
