Mucus Relief DM is a medicine that contains Guaifenesin and Dextromethorphan HBr. It helps to loosen and relieve chest congestion and to make coughs more productive. It is a dye-free, immediate release caplet and provides up to 2400mg of Guaifenesin and 120mg of Dextromethorphan daily. This is an expectorant and cough suppressant medication. It temporarily relieves a cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as occurs with a common cold. It also helps to loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to free the bronchial passageways from mucus. However, this medicine should not be taken by individuals who are under prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor or those with persistent or chronic cough, excessive phlegm (mucus), smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema.*
