This is a drug information for Extra Strength Tylenol PM gelcaps that contain Acetaminophen and Diphenhydramine HCI. It is used to alleviate headaches, minor aches, and accompanying sleeplessness. It is a non-habit-forming drug, but drowsiness will occur, so alcohol use and operation of machinery are not recommended. The gelcaps should be used by adults and children aged 12 years and over, and not more than two gelcaps should be taken in 24 hours. The product may cause liver damage and should not be used with other acetaminophen or by children under 12 years, or if allergic to the product or its ingredients. If redness or swelling occurs, new symptoms appear or fever persists more than 3 days, then stop using the product and talk to a doctor.
