OXYGEN, REFRIGERATED LIQUID USP is a highly volatile and combustible gas under pressure that must be kept in an upright position and away from combustibles. It can cause severe frostbite and accelerate combustion. It should be used with equipment cleaned for oxygen service, stored and used in areas with adequate ventilation, and not get liquid on skin, eyes, or clothing. For liquid withdrawal, appropriate eye protection and gloves should be worn. Emergency use should be administered only by properly trained personnel for oxygen deficiency and resuscitation. Its use should be only with pressure-reducing equipment and apparatus designed for oxygen. Uninterrupted use of high oxygen concentration may be harmful. In case of frostbite, medical treatment should be obtained immediately. It is produced by air liquefaction, and its CAS NO is 7782-44-7.*
