Erythromycin and Benzoyl Peroxide Topical Gel USP is a medication for topical use only and requires a prescription. Each jar contains 46.6g of the gel, which includes 1.6g of Erythromycin and 40g of Benzoyl Peroxide. Once reconstituted, each gram contains 30mg (3%) erythromycin and 50mg (5%) benzoyl peroxide in a base of purified water USP, carbomer 940NF, alcohol 20%, sodium hydroxide NF, citric acid USP, sodium chloride USP, and fragrance. The gel must not come into contact with eyes, fabrics, or young children. Pharmacists must accurately follow the instructions to reconstitute the gel to ensure its efficacy.
