FLUOCINOLONE ACETONIDE 0.01% Topical Oil is a medication for topical use only and should not be used orally, intravaginally or in the eyes. It contains fluocinolone acetonide (0.01%), isopropyl alcohol (1.6%) in a base containing isopropyl myristate, light mineral oil, oleth-2, and refined peanut oil. The package contains one 4 oz bottle and two shower caps, and the medication should be kept tightly closed and stored upright at 20° to 25°C. It is used to treat scalp psoriasis by wetting or dampening the hair and scalp thoroughly, applying it thinly to the scalp, massaging well, and covering the area with one of the provided shower caps.
