Intralipid® 30% is a 500 mL fat emulsion packaged for pharmacy use only. It is not for direct infusion and must be used only for pharmacy compounding. The emulsion is for intravenous use and contains soybean oil, phospholipids, glycerin, and water for injections. The pH is 8 (6-8.9) adjusted with sodium hydroxide. Intralipid® 30% must not be stored above 25°C (77°F) and must not be frozen. If frozen, the bag should be discarded. The product is sterile and nonpyrogenic. The package insert provides proper use of the pharmacy bulk package, and the product contains no more than 25 μg/L of aluminum.*
