Pur-Wash is a sterile solution of purified water, used as an ophthalmic eyewash. The solution is designed for single-use and is manufactured by Niagara Pharmaceuticals Inc., in Flamborough, Canada. It contains 98.3% purified water, and other inactive ingredients such as boric acid, sodium borate and sodium chloride. Pur-Wash helps relieve eye irritation or burning by removing loose foreign material from the eye. It is important to avoid contamination and not use the solution if it changes color or texture, or if it has been opened before. Pur-Wash is meant for external use only and should not be used if one experiences open wounds in or close to the eye. If the condition worsens or persists, or if there are changes in vision or eye pain, a doctor should be consulted. The product comes in a 4fl oz bottle and should be stored at temperatures between 20° and 25°C. If the tamper-evident seal is missing or broken, the product should not be used.
