This is a description for a medication that is used for the temporary relief of sinus congestion and pressure, nasal congestion, headache, minor aches and pains, and also helps loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretions to make coughs more productive. It contains acetaminophen, guaifenesin, and phenylephrine HCI as active ingredients. The drug should not be taken more than 4,000 mg of acetaminophen in 24 hours and with other drugs containing acetaminophen. It warns not to use this medication if you are taking a blood thinning drug like warfarin. It contains inactive ingredients like FDAC red #40, maltodextrin, stearic acid, and others. It is not available for distribution by McNeil Consumer Healthcare. Liver warning is provided in the drug. If pain, nasal congestion, or cough gets worse or lasts more than 7-3 days, a doctor should be consulted, and the medication should be stopped. Pregnant women and children should not use this drug.*
