Extra Strength JYLENOL Caplets contain 500mg of acetaminophen and 1253mg of diphenhydramine. This medication temporarily treats occasional headaches and minor aches and pains accompanied by sleeplessness. Users should not take more than the recommended dosage and should not use if they are allergic to any of the ingredients, have a liver disease, breathing problems, trouble urinating, or if they are taking sedatives or tranquilizers. The medication may cause sleepiness and users should avoid alcohol and operating machinery. If sleeplessness persists for more than 2 weeks, medical attention is required, and in case of overdose, users should contact Poison Control immediately.
