Tums Extra Strength is an antacid in tablet form that efficiently relieves symptoms of acid indigestion and heartburn. The active ingredient in each chewable tablet includes calcium carbonate 750mg, available in natural and artificially flavored assorted berries. As with all antacids, it can interact with certain prescription drugs, therefore, it is recommended to consult a pharmacist before taking Tums Extra Strength. Individuals should not exceed 10 tablets in 24 hours or use the product for more than two weeks without proper guidance. The product should be kept out of the reach of children. Other inactive ingredients include corn starch, dextrose, FD&C blue #1 lake, FD&C red #40 lake, magnesium stearate, malic acid, mineral oil, natural and artificial flavors and sodium polyphosphate.
