Hydrogen Peroxide 3% (Hydrogen Peroxide 3 Percent Usp 1)
This is a description of a first aid antiseptic and oral debriding agent. It helps prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes and burns and can be used to remove debris from wounds and mucous membranes. The product is Hydrogen Peroxide 3% USP and should not be used in the eyes or on wounds younger than one week. If deep puncture wounds or serious burns are present or if any swelling, rash or fever develops, stop use and consult a doctor. The product is meant to be applied to the affected area 1-3 times a day and covered with a sterile bandage. It may also be used as a gargle or rinse. Children under 12 should not use the product without medical supervision and children under 2 should see a doctor or dentist prior to using the product.
