Dermasil® OTC Sensitive Skin Formula lotion is a powerful and hypo-allergenic dry skin treatment and skin protectant developed by Dermasil® Labs. The lotion has four systems that control and provide relief from severe dry skin, including humectants, occlusives, skin lipids, and EFAs. Humectants bind water in the skin's outermost layers, while occlusives block moisture loss from the skin's surface. Skin lipids enhance the skin's ability to retain moisture, and EFAs play an important role in the skin's moisture barrier function. The lotion is suitable for sensitive skin, and it helps control symptoms such as chapping, cracking, flaking, roughness, redness, soreness, and itching. Its active ingredient, dimethicone, is a skin protectant that temporarily protects and helps relieve chapped or cracked skin, as well as protects the skin from the drying effects of wind and cold weather. The lotion is distributed by the Rise International Group LLC and includes several inactive ingredients such as water, glycerin, petrolatum, mineral oil, and acetylated lanolin alcohol.*
