This is a drug facts label for a diaper rash ointment with a skin protectant. The active ingredient in the ointment is White Petrolatum USP, which is used to treat and prevent diaper rash, and temporarily protect minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. The ointment can also help protect and relieve chapped and cracked skin or lips, prevent and protect from the drying effects of wind and cold weather, and prevent and protect chafed skin or minor skin irritations. The product should not be used on deep or puncture wounds, animal bites or serious burns. It is recommended to change wet and soiled diapers promptly, cleanse the diaper area and allow it to dry, and apply the ointment as needed. The product should be stored at room temperature and kept out of reach of children. If the product is swallowed, medical help or Poison Control Center should be contacted immediately.*
