This is a drug facts label for a zinc oxide skin protectant ointment that is used externally only. It contains 20% zinc oxide and is used to relieve rashes and protect the skin. The ointment can be used to treat and prevent diaper rash and to protect the skin from the oozing and weeping of poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. It can also be used to treat chafed, chapped, cracked or windburned skin and lips. The label provides warnings to keep the product out of the reach of children and to contact a doctor if the condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days.
