This product contains povidone iodine, an antiseptic used for preparation of the skin prior to surgery and prevention of infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. It is not recommended for use in eyes, on individuals who are allergic to or sensitive to iodine, over large areas of the body, or for more than one week as an antiseptic. It is important to seek medical attention if the condition persists or gets worse, if irritation and redness develop and persist for over 72 hours, or in case of deep punctures, animal bites, or serious burns. This product should be stored at room temperature and kept out of reach of children. The inactive ingredients include citric acid, glycerin, nonoxynol-9, sodium hydroxide, and water. Povidone-iodine prep pads are also available.*
