The Acidulated Phosphate Fluoride Treatment Gel contains 1.23% fluoride ion and is intended for professional use only. It is a stable thixotropic fluoride treatment gel used to help prevent dental decay and is available from 2.09% Sodium Fluoride and Hydrofluoric Acid. The product comes in a 16 oz (454 g) bottle and is used as a preventative caries treatment two times a year. The user should shake well before use and follow the instructions carefully with one minute or four-minute treatment. The gel contains Citric Acid, FD&C Red #40, FD&C Yellow #5 (tetrazine) as a color additive, Flavor, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Phosphoric Acid, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Saccharin, Titanium Dioxide, Water, Xanthan Gum, and Xylitol.
