Azelaic Acid Gel, 15% is a topical medication for use only on the skin. It contains 0.15 gm of azelaic acid as the active ingredient in an aqueous gel base. The medication is to be applied twice daily to the affected areas of the face. The gel is not for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use. It is manufactured by Glenmark pharmaceuticals and is only available with a prescription. The gel should be stored at a temperature between 20°C and 25°C.
