It is a contraceptive intended to prevent pregnancy but does not protect against HIV infection or other sexually transmitted diseases. The package contains 24 white to off-white tablets and 4 brown to dark brown tablets with instructions for a usual dosage of one tablet daily for 28 days. The patient labeling enclosed in each pouch is intended for the patient and should be dispensed with the blister. The medication should be stored between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) with excursions permitted between 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) in a controlled room temperature.
