DERMESSE is a product indicated for the lightening of dark areas of the skin caused by age spots, liver spots, and other unwanted melanin hyperpigmentation. It comes in a bottle of 2 floz. (57 ml) and the directions for use is to apply a thin layer to the affected areas as needed, or as directed by a physician. However, if no improvement is seen after 2 to 3 months of treatment, use of this product should be discontinued. The lightening effect of this product may not be noticeable when used on very dark skin. Sun exposure should be limited by sunscreen, a sunblock, or protective clothing to cover bleached skin when using and after using this product to prevent darkening from recurring. This product contains sodium metabisulfite, which may cause allergic-type reactions, and should be kept out of reach of children. If the user experiences mild or severe skin irritation, they should stop use and consult a physician. This product should not be used on children under 12 years of age unless directed by a physician. Hyciroainone 4% is the active ingredient of the product, and it also contains other ingredients like Ascorbic Acid, Butylted Hydroxytoluene, Glycolic Acid, among others.
