046 Health A2z Bismuth Subsalicylate 262 mg 1
This is a description of a medication called "wrax BISMUTH". It is a chewable tablet that helps to relieve symptoms of upset stomach, indigestion, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, gas, and belching caused by overindulgence in food and drink, as well as travelers' diarrhea. The active ingredient is Bismuth subsalicylate (102mg salicylate per tablet), which is comparable to the active ingredient found in Pepto-BismolĀ®. However, this product is not manufactured or distributed by Procter & Gamble, owner of the registered trademark Pepto-BismolĀ®. The tablets are sugar-free, very low in sodium, and come in a flavored form. The medication contains warnings for people who have ulcers, a bleeding problem, or bloody or black stool, and those taking other medications, such as anticoagulants, diabetes medications, or aspirin. In some cases, Reye's syndrome could occur, which is a rare but serious illness that can cause nausea, vomiting, and changes in behavior. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should ask a health professional before use, and children under 12 years should ask a doctor. The medication can cause temporary harmless darkening of the stool and/or tongue. The product information should be reviewed on the carton.*
