Selenium Sulfide 2.25% Shampoo is an anti-fungal solution used to treat seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp, dandruff, and tinea versicolor. It contains alpha-tocopherol acetate, urea, zinc pyrithione, and several other ingredients. As with many other shampoos, it can cause skin irritation or dryness. Serious adverse events can be reported to Westminster Pharmaceuticals or the FDA. The shampoo should not be used in children under 12 years old, and pregnant women should use caution when applying it. It is available in 180mL bottles and should be stored at room temperature.*
