This is a description of a medication called Sodium Sulfacetamide and Sulfur (X143 Cleanser) that is used externally for cleansing the affected areas once or twice daily as directed by a physician. It comes in a 10 oz. (285 g) bottle and store at a temperature between 20°C and 25°C. Adverse reactions to this medication are uncommon, but some cases of Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Jocal hypersensitivity, and overdosage, which may cause nausea and vomiting, are noteworthy. In case of overdosage, emergency treatment should be started immediately. This medication discolors fabric if an excessive amount is used, but the discoloration is readily removed by ordinary laundering without bleaches.
