This is a drug fact sheet for a package of burn cream with benzalkonium chloride and lidocaine HCI as active ingredients. The cream is for temporary relief of pain associated with minor cuts, scrapes, and burns and also helps protect against harmful bacteria. The cream comes in sealed packets and should not be used if packets are opened or torn. The directions indicate that users should apply a small amount not more than three times daily and may be covered with a sterile bandage. The cream should not be used in the eyes, on large quantities, over raw or blistered areas, deep puncture wounds, animal bites or serious burns, and users should not use it for more than one week unless directed by a doctor. If swallowed, get medical help or contact Poison Control Center immediately. The inactive ingredients contain aloe barbadensis leaf juice, cetearyl alcohol, disodium EDTA, ethylhexylglycerin, glycerin, glyceryl stearate/PEG-100 stearate, maltodextrin, mineral oil, phenoxyethanol, propylene glycol, purified water, stearic acid, and triethanolamine.*
