Pepto-Bismol Ultra is an over-the-counter medication aimed at treating various digestive problems such as upset stomach, diarrhea, nausea, and heartburn. It is important to shake the bottle well before use and to use only the dose cup provided. The recommended dosage for adults and children over the age of 12 is 15mL every ½ hour for diarrhea/traveler's diarrhea and 15 mL every ½ hour as needed for overindulgence with a maximum of 8 doses in 24 hours. Children under the age of 12 years should only use it under the care of a doctor. The medication should be used until diarrhea stops, but not for more than 2 days. The medication contains bismuth subsalicylate, which helps to relieve symptoms such as nausea, upset stomach, and diarrhea. However, if the symptoms persist for more than two days, it is recommended to stop the use of the medication and consult a doctor.*
