This is a description for a Dulcolax® Laxative Drug which contains the active ingredient bisacodyl USP, 5mg per tablet. It is a stimulant laxative used for occasional relief of constipation and irregularity. The product generally produces bowel movements within 6 to 12 hours. The tablets are enteric-coated and should not be used if the safety seal under the cap is torn or missing. The product contains FD&C Yellow No. 5 (tartrazine) and is recommended for those who have trouble swallowing as they can be chewed.*
