This is a fluoride treatment gel with an active ingredient of 1.23% fluoride ion. It is a stable thixotropic gel that helps to prevent dental decay and is intended for professional office use only. The gel is not for home or unsupervised use by consumers. The package warns to keep it out of reach of children, to not swallow it and in the case of accidental swallowing in quantities greater than normal, contact Poison Control Center. The gel is a one or four-minute fluoride gel used for in-office patient preventative care, and normally used twice a year. The instructions for usage are to fill two single or one dual tray, one third full with gel after thorough prophylaxis, to air dry teeth, and insert trays into the mouth. The patient should bite down lightly but firmly for one minute (80% effectiveness) or four minutes (100% effectiveness). After removal, the patient should expectorate any excess gel and not eat or drink anything for at least 30 minutes. The product is gluten-free and contains inactive ingredients such as Citric Acid, FD&C Red #40, Flavor, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Phosphoric Acid, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Saccharin, Titanium Dioxide, Water, Xanthan Gum, and Xylitol. It is manufactured for Primo Dental Products.*
