Fluoride treatment gel is a stable preventative caries gel to prevent dental decay. The product contains 1.23% fluoride ion, available from 2.09% sodium fluoride and hydrofluoric acid. The gel is for professional office use only, and not intended for home or unsupervised use. Directions for use include filling trays with the gel after prophylaxis and instructing the patient to bite down lightly for one or four minutes, depending on the desired effectiveness. The product should not be swallowed, and medical assistance should be obtained if accidentally swallowed in quantities greater than what normally occurs. The product should be stored in a controlled room temperature between 59° to 86°F. The inactive ingredients include citric acid, FD & C blue #1, flavor, magnesium aluminum silicate, phosphoric acid, polysorbate 20, sodium benzoate, sodium saccharin, titanium dioxide, water, xanthan gum, and xylitol.*
