Assist Il is a topical, over-the-counter pain reliever used to desensitize the skin before a procedure for temporary relief of local discomfort and pain related to anorectal inflammation. The active ingredient Benzocaine is a topical anesthetic that helps to make the treatment more comfortable. The unique formula ensures maximum dose delivery. However, if the symptom being treated does not subside or if redness, irritation, swelling, pain, or other symptoms develop or increase, discontinue use and consult a doctor. It is available in Hemorrhoidal Lotion form and not recommended for children under 12 years of age. This external anesthetic is made up of other inactive ingredients like Ethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Purified Water, Laureth 4, Ter-Butyl Alcohol, and Bromine Sulfite. For professional use only, it comes with a warning to avoid using near open flame or while smoking as it is flammable.*
