Scott's Select APF Foam with Xylitol is a fluoride treatment foam used to prevent dental decay. This medication comes in a 44 fl. oz. can (130mL) and contains 1.23% fluoride ion for use by dental professionals. The foam should be shaken well before each use, and the can must be inverted completely and the nozzle depressed slowly to dispense the foam into a fluoride tray. The foam should remain in contact with the teeth for between 1 and 4 minutes, and ingestion of the product should be minimized. It is also recommended not to eat, drink or rinse for 30 minutes after treatment. The medication contains castor oil, decyl glucoside, distilled water, flavour, hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, poloxamer, propellant, sodium benzoate, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium saccharin, triethanolamine, and xylitol.*
