It is useful for preventing and healing skin irritation caused by urine, diarrhea, perspiration, fistula drainage, feeding tube site leakage, wound drainage, minor burns, cuts, scrapes, and itching. The product should be used externally, and contact with eyes should be avoided. If the condition worsens or lasts more than seven days, a doctor should be consulted. It is important to keep the Skin Protectant out of reach of children and seek immediate medical help if swallowed. The product should be applied to clean and dry skin two to four times daily or after each incontinent episode or diaper change. The Skin Protectant also contains inactive ingredients such as Calamine, Glycerine, Lanolin, Light Liquid Paraffin, Petrolatum, Thymol, and Tocopheryl Acetate.
