It comes in a cherry flavor and provides heartburn relief for up to 2 weeks, but it is recommended to ask a doctor before use if you have kidney disease, a magnesium/sodium-restricted diet or taking a prescription medication. Each 5 mL teaspoonful contains magnesium 70 mg and sodium 16 mg, and it should be taken after meals and at bedtime. The product should be stored at room temperature, protected from freezing, and kept tightly closed. The inactive ingredients include benzyl alcohol, edetate disodium, flavor, glycerin, purified water, saccharin sodium, simethicone emulsion, sodium alginate, sorbitol solution, and xanthan gum.
