This is the drug facts label of a value-sized bottle of 1000 extra strength acetaminophen caplets, which have an active ingredient of 500 mg of acetaminophen each. The labeled usage for the product is to temporarily relieve minor aches and pains due to headache, the common cold, backache, muscular aches, minor pain of arthritis, premenstrual and menstrual cramps, and to temporarily reduce fever. However, the product is not to be used with any other drug containing acetaminophen, and the user is warned that liver damage may occur if they take more than 4,000 mg of acetaminophen in 24 hours, with other drugs containing acetaminophen or with 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day while using the product. The user is also warned that a skin reaction may occur if they are allergic to acetaminophen or any of the inactive ingredients in the product. The label contains additional warnings and informs the user how to use the product safely.*
