This is a drug facts label of a product containing 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. It can be used as a first aid antiseptic to help prevent the risk of infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. It may also aid in the removal of phlegm, mucous, or other secretions associated with an occasional sore mouth. This product should not be used in the eyes or applied over large areas of the body for longer than 1 week. It is important to consult a doctor before use if one has deep or puncture wounds, animal bites, or serious burns. If the condition persists or worsens, or sore mouth symptoms do not improve in 7 days, or if irritation, pain, or redness persists or worsens, or if swelling, rash, or fever develops, it is essential to stop using the product and consult a doctor. The directions for use indicate that this product should be used 1 to 3 times a day after cleaning the affected area. If bandaged, it should be left to dry first. It can also be used as an oral rinse by mixing with an equal amount of water, swishing around in the mouth over the affected area for at least 1 minute, and then spitting out. It should be used twice daily after meals and at bedtime or as directed by a dentist or doctor. This product should be kept tightly closed in a cool, dark place and should not be shaken. Its inactive ingredient is purified water.*
