Chi-Myst is an external use medication that may help with osteoarthritis, tendonitis, and joint or musculoskeletal pain. It contains a chitin derivative, which is produced from shrimp shells. Patients with allergies to shrimp or other shellfish should consult their physician before using Chi-Myst. It is advised to apply the medication only to the affected area and avoid eye contact. The dosage should be determined by a physician and can be used as often as once every three hours or as prescribed. No side effects have been observed, but any unusual reactions should be reported to the prescriber. Chi-Myst should be stored at room temperature and away from direct sunlight. Inactive ingredients include glycerin, a proprietary glucosamine polymer, lactic acid, and sodium hydroxide.*
