TrusMed is a saline laxative containing magnesium citrate used for the relief of occasional constipation. It can be used in bowel cleansing systems for surgery or exam preparation. The active ingredient in each fluid ounce is 1.745 g magnesium citrate. It is stored at temperatures between 46-86°F (8-30°C) and should not be used if the tamper-evident twist-off seal is missing, broken, or separated from the neck. If you suffer from stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, kidney disease or have a magnesium-restricted diet, you should consult a doctor before using TrusMed. Contact a Poison Control Center if required. Do not use for more than a week if you are a child under two years of age or for longer than two weeks in adults and children over 12 years of age.
