Triamcinolone acetonide is an emollient dental paste that contains carboxymethylcellulose sodium, gelatin, and pectin in a plasticized hydrocarbon gel. Each gram of the paste contains 1 mg of triamcinolone acetonide (0.1%). The medication can be applied as a thin film to affected areas at night time. The package insert should be consulted for complete prescribing information, and the medication should be kept tightly closed and stored between 20° to 25°C.
