Triamcinolone acetonide is an emollient dental paste that contains carboxymethylcellulose sodium, gelatin, and pectin in a plasticized hydrocarbon gel. Each gram of the paste contains 1 mg of triamcinolone acetonide (0.1%). The medication can be applied as a thin film to affected areas at night time. The package insert should be consulted for complete prescribing information, and the medication should be kept tightly closed and stored between 20° to 25°C. The lot number and expiry date can be found on the flap of the carton or the crimp of the tube. The paste is intended for topical use in the adjunctive treatment of oral lesions. To puncture the tube seal, one needs to remove the cap, turn it upside down, place the puncture tip onto the tube, push the cap until the tube ends are punctured, and screw the cap back on to reseal the tube.*
