Phenylephrine HCI Ophthalmic Solution, USP is a topical eye medication that contains Phenylephrine Hydrochloride as active ingredient. Each ml of the solution contains 25 mg (2.5%) Phenylephrine Hydrochloride and 0.1 mg (0.01%) Benzalkonium Chloride as preservative. The package insert provides information about the dosage. The medication should be stored between 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F) and protected from light and heat. The container should be kept tightly closed. The solution should not be used if it appears brown or contains a precipitate. The solution should be discarded after the expiration date mentioned on the bottle. The medication is not meant for injection and should only be used topically in the eye.
