This is a prescription medicine called Acyclovir Oral Suspension, USP used for oral administration only. The medicine should be shaken well before use and comes in a 16 fl. oz bottle containing 473 mL. Each 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) of the medicine contains acyclovir, USP 200 mg and preservatives methylparaben 0.1% and propylparaben 0.02%. This medicine follows the guidelines of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) for dispensing in a tight, light-resistant container using a child-resistant closure. It is manufactured by Novitium Pharma LLC in East Windsor, New Jersey, and should be stored at 16° to 2°C (§9° to 77°F) while protecting it from light.
